3.36.125/1.11.113 did fix double-clicking at the expense of almost unusable click and drag. I've tried newer software versions, yet they not just made it worse but also were giving me constant BSODs. It worked reasonably well until the issue just went so bad even this wouldn't help. Since the double-clicking began (a few months after purchase) I've been stuck with 3.18.77 iCUE and 0.5.64 mouse firmware. So I just want to talk about my experience with software instead. But, like me, many can't/don't want to mess with their mouse's internals. Yes, it can be somewhat mitigated by software but changing the switch itself is the best possible solution. The contacts on the cheap Chinese Omron switches deteriorate over time thus stopping to register clearly. As you probably all aware this problem is a hardware one. I'll update you as soon as I confirm when it will be publicly released. The version for Harpoon Wireless is not available yet, but will be soon from what I've heard. You can do so through the following link:Īs a quick update, firmware for the Ironclaw Wireless should be available very shortly (today or tomorrow). This sounds more likely hardware related, and I would recommend submitting a ticket for an RMA. The earlier double clicking issue and the posts i read on the forum makes me believe it might be a general - hardware - issue (and i don't want to be without my mouse for a few weeks ) I'm very happy with other corsair products, like the K55 RGB keyboard, but i kind of hesitate to send the mouse for RMA. Is this something that can be solved through FW/Software? Or is a RMA recommended? frustrating :laughing:īe it while gaming or eg working in Excel. Not being able to rely on (not) clicking when you want it to is. I have to say the double click issue i had before seems gone with the latest FW (doubleclick was there immediately, but on replugging the cord the issue was gone again), but it does not resolve the extra click on mouse release issue. I have tried installing the latest Dongle + Mouse FW via iCUE to check if this might fix this. The sensor registers another click when releasing the button a bit while the actual 'click' on return is not happening yet. It seems to happen exclusively on hold and release - eg drag and release and happens both to the leftclick as the rightclick after testing (also when stationary). Now the following issue is lately becoming more apparent and consistent extra click on mouse RELEASE. This happened August 2020 and solved the doubleclick issue. After issuing an RMA i also got the downgrade of FW suggested and send by a friendly CS employee "Harpoon Wireless - Dongle FW 0.5.49 - Mouse FW 0.5.64". Harpoon RGB Wireless Mouse i was experiencing very heavy doubleclick issues which was bought barely a few weeks before. Zowie/Razer are overpriced.Doubleclick issue turned into extra click on release issue. The Revel for $25 and the G403 for $45 will set you back <$80 combined for two great mice. I think your expectations will be lower and odds of success much higher with two mice. Also, the TT Iris has a much shape and a 3325 sensor (a bit better) for $30, no reason to get the Harpoon over that. EC2-A/B (Probably best ergo out there overall but has QC drawbacks)Ĭan't vouch for the DeathAdder, Rival 600 or Cougar Revenger but they are all on the larger side like the Rival 310.Īlso, don't limit yourself to spending the 40-80, there's very good stuff that often comes in below that price point like the MM520 and Nixeus Revel. Rival 310 (but is a very large mouse and the silicone sides aren't great) G403 (Best combo of value/versatility/good QC and safe shape) Sensor is a 3320 and can spin out if you are a low-sens player, which you probably are as a palmer. I like the Harpoon but can't recommend the Harpoon for palm, very narrow and best with a 1-1-2-1 grip.
